My koru art

This is my koru art

I like it because I used three different green pastels.  I put in too many leaves and not  enough korus. Koru is the shape of a fern uncurling. It  means new beginnings. Before we did it we looked at other Koru art. We used pastels and vivid. We also got a letter from Raewyn Harris and she came on Thursday the 6th and we did koru art as our calendar.

FUN DAY!!

 

On our funday  I was so excited I couldn’t even breathe! Just kidding……… no I mean it .

We had to dress up and the theme was super freak. I dressed up a little bit like a creeper from Minecraft.  
 
We could bring our electronics. I brought my tablet to school.  We were going to make pizza. Our's was a meat lovers pizza but it was so disgusting all because of  the BBQ sauce. It looked very wrong .
 

For the movie we watched Kiwi Flyer. It was about a boy whose dad promised that he could be in a go kart race. When his dad finished building the support stuff for the gokart   he was driving home  and he died in a car crash.

At electronics time I played two games: Minecraft and League of Heroes.

Welcome to room 3

Hi I'm James.  My class is room 3 we have 27 students.Our class is a mix of year 5 and 6 students in room 3.
We are reading Hatchet. It is a book about a boy that crash landed  in the Canadian wilderness because the pilot had a heart attack. The boy is called Brian and he has only got a Hatchet. He will do every thing to stay alive. At the end of the book a pilot saves him and  Brian say's "would you like something to eat?".
On March 13 we went to Stoney Creek Ranch for camp. We came back on March 16. We had lots of fun at camp and my most favorite thing at camp was the flying fox because at one stage I was two meters off the ground and in the air flying high. I said bye to my group when I went down.
My favorite thing this year was the Science in a Van because there was a chicken called Steve. The people called Emily and Allen made Steve fly.
