koru calender art

For calendar art we did koru art again. Since it was my second time round the block it was much better than my first one. I used colors opposite on the color wheel so it looked really good. Raewyn Harris told us to use colors next to or opposite on the color wheel. I used red, orange, blue and lite blue. My  koru art for my cards are going to be way better because its my third time round.

     

cross country

On Tuesday the 10th of September the whole of Napier Central School walked down to Ahuriri Park for cross country. It was quite boring because I didn't do anything for a long time but when my race came I had butterfly's in my stomach at the start. Year 5  had an extended track and had to do 31/2 laps around the huge field. It was much harder then last year definately! But the good news is I came 15th :- )      

My Koru art

Hi Theo here,
In room three we have been making some Koru art. We can also draw leaves. Koru is a Maori symbol for new beginnings. My art has two koru and two leaves in it. I used all the space well. Our inspiration was Raewyn Harris's Koru art. We blended our colours together to make it eye catching.
             

FUN DAY

Fun day

At the end of term two 2013 room 3 had a fun-day.  We had a dress up theme of the book we are reading super freak I didn't dress up though. After we had done the entire usual roll and notices we got to go on our I pads & I pods or stuff. Since I DO NOT have one L I got to play games on the computer. When we were done with our electronics WE MADE PIZZA! That was the best part of the and another awesome part was we didn't have to do any work.       

So Close

A few weeks ago on Saturday my N.O.B.M rugby team played Tech on home ground.We had been on a massive losing streak all season so we tried to change that.

In the first half one of my team mates had been tackled to the ground. After the other backs and I had formed a back line Max passed the ball out to me. I found a huge gap in Tech's defense and ran. I was too busy looking at the try line so I didn't  notice someone come up and smash my leg. I was so surprised I lost the ball forward.

After that there was a scrum. I had come so close to scoring my first try of the season and it was our best game. My team lost 25:20. It was so close.

Camp

Hi I'm Theo.
In term one we went to Stoney Creek Ranch for camp with the year fives from room one. My favourite thing we did was at night on Thursday we had a stealthy game. This game is when the helpers hide in the forest and we (as in the children) sneak to the bridge on the other side of the forest. It was very intense. At the end of the forest  me and three other boys where whispering about how to get past the last helper. When we had finished we sneaked past to the bridge. We were the first ones there! The thing that got us to the end was James and Ethan getting caught so we could get past. That "getting caught" bit was not expected.
