Room 3 had a visitor Raewyn Harris

I was so excited to see Raewyn Harris. I love art. Room 3 had such an awesome one hour with Raewyn learning new things about art. The first thing I learnt was to sometimes use your finger to start off. I used a lot of koru and I loved using koru in my art. I loved all the colours in Raewyns first piece of art. Raewyn inspired me so much. I really want to buy some of her art work. I know that I am not good at drawing korus but that doesn't matter. When I first tried drawing a koru it didn't go out that well. I said to myself I can do it I tried and tried. It worked but I had a little help from Raewyn Harris like the shape of the koru. She is the best at drawing koru. I love the primary colours Blue, Red and Yellow. The colours I love on the colour wheel are all the purples and blues and some of the greens and oranges.      

Raewyn Harris Inspired Me

In room 3 we had Raewyn Harris come into Room 3 and she talked about how she did her first art work. Raewyn told us how to get the shape of the Koru's. You can sometimes  use your finger to get the shape of the koru because it helps you. Raewyn really inspired me to  blend my art work and always have four colours. I used a colour wheel. You can use the colours opposite the colour you choose to go together. We got a little bit of time to try and draw a koru. I used all kinds of purples. I am really proud of my art work and I hope one day I could be like Raewyn Harris. Thank you Raewyn Harris!

Stoney Creek Ranch

Hi my name Olivia. 2 weeks ago we went to Stoney Creek Ranch. Camp and it was awesome. I  liked the Mini Motor Bikes. They were so little. I looked like a giant and there was a BIG drop and a hill. There was a Flying Fox and it was so fun. I screamed once but that was all at the end. The highlight of term one was going to camp and meeting really nice people. We did Mini Motor Bikes, Flying Fox, BMX Bikes, Rock Climbing and Survival Challenge. We also did the Commando Course, Low ropes, Shooting and Archery, the Stealthy game and  Camp Cluedo, Clown Bikes, Golf Frisbee.
There were Cabins 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8. I was in Cabin 3. The girls cabins were 2 and 3.The boys cabins were  6 and 7. The Teachers cabin was 1. The Parents  cabins were 5 and 8. When we went for a swim it was in the Stoney Creek. It was fun because there was a swing rope. The really nice people I met at Stoney Creek Ranch were Pearl, Jules, Mark, Jeff. The cooks' names are Robyn and Jeff.
