The Faraday Centre

Last week Room 3 went to the Faraday Centre to learn about forces. I learnt that if you rub carpet and carpet together it makes friction. I also learnt that if you have one person on the very end of one side of a seesaw, and three people near the middle makes the three people go up and the one person goes down. There was also a big wind machine and when you turn it on you can measure the speed that the wind is going it was going over 100 km per hour.

There were lots of old washing machines  that had two little pole things that squeezed all the water out of the clothes that made them dry. There was also a sultana shaker which cleans all the sultanas. There were old telephones with little holes and the number under the holes and you have to put one finger in the hole and put turn it to the other side and you do that the whole time until you finished the phone number and you could call people all around the Faraday Centre.
